Juan Carlos Sánchez

As a theatre and language enthusiast, I was naturally drawn to a project that brings Spanish theatre and culture into the heart of London. Apart from being a fantastic project in its own right, I also believe that FesTeLõn plays an important role in promoting Spanish-language theatre and enriching London’s cultural scene, and I am delighted to volunteer for it.

My professional background is in architecture with a social purpose. I am also the author of two award-winning poetry collections and a runner-up pamphlet in Spanish. One of my poems in English won a third prize in a British competition. It is that interconnection between languages and cultures that interests me so much, and FesTeLõn successfully bridges.
