Ignacio Lusardo Monteverde

Ignacio Lusardi Monteverde is a London-based music producer, recording engineer and musician.

Winner of Musician of the Year at the Latin UK Awards 2019, he was made Doctor of J. H. Pestalozzi University and Honorary Fellow of the North & Midlands School of Music in recognition of his contribution to world music as both an audio engineer and performer.

As a guitarist, Ignacio has performed at venues including the Indian National Theatre and Babylon Great Theatre. As a producer and recording engineer, he has produced four albums for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and has worked on numerous recordings released by labels including Naxos, ARC Music, Orchid Classics, Nonclassical, First Hand Records, Orpheus, Pixaudio, Drama Musica and others. His recording work also includes a number of album productions at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

A graduate in Choral Conducting, Ignacio has contributed to the development of international music festivals including the Ketevan World Sacred Music Festival in India and the London Strings Festival, and worked for six years with the Latin American Baroque Festival of Buenos Aires. His work has also included collaborations with the British Museum and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, alongside extensive work with classical, early music and world music performers.

His performances and artistic collaborations include Ahmed Mukhtar, Olcay Bayir, Lux Musicae, Baluji Shrivastav OBE and Idrisi Ensemble, as well as appearances on BBC Radio 3 and at Mumbai NCPA, the London Festival of Baroque Music, St George’s Bristol, Stroud Green Festival and Liverpool Early Music Festival.

Ignacio collaborates with FesTeLõn through his commitment to promoting Spanish-speaking culture in London and his interest in creating connections between different artistic disciplines. Drawing on his experience in music, production and technical management, he sees the festival as an opportunity to support the development and visibility of Spanish-language theatre in the UK.
