What a powerful opening event for FesTeLõn!
Just like Javier “Peke” Rodríguez explained at the beginning of the concert, he made us see with our ears. It was an emotional journey, fusing cultures through the music to open the festival. There couldn’t have been a better first night. The curtain opens! Click on the photos below to open the gallery! (Photos by Angeles Rodenas © Festelon)

Our audience talk about “Puños de Harina”. What a wonderful play. !
A powerful performance that told an emotional story with a Q&A afterwards that allowed us to hear how Torres brought his ideas and research together to create this poignant play that we had the pleasure of being the first to watch it. Workshop – Talk
WHEN: Thursday 3rd October 2019
WHERE: John Lyon’s Theatre
WORKSHOP-TALK: Hip Hop and Classical Poetry
COMPANY/SPEAKER: La Calderona Producciones and Pau Pau Producciones
TIME: 16.00 – 18.00
What are the connections between rhyme, classical poetry and hip hop? Ovillejos and terza rima in a rap groove?
We invite you to a workshop in which we’ll explore the creative process behind La Calderona, where we’ll explain how the show evolved and, in particular, how we constructed and adapted classical poetic forms to create hip hop beats. Our team will include the Artistic Director, the Playwright, the Stage Director, the DJ and the two actors, with whom we’ll discuss this unusual show and fusion of styles.
